Three Top Shopping Centres in and around Marbella

Marbella is definitely very high on the list of Europe’s places to see and be seen in. It attracts the world’s rich and famous to its high-end hotels, nightclubs, eateries and bars. It is famous for its huge yachts and miles of sandy beaches. But it also offers an incredible array of shopping opportunities for those who want to indulge until their Jimmy Choos need resolved..

Casco Antiguo - The Old Side of Marbella

In order to accommodate the strong desire for luxury shopping opportunities for Marbella’s discerning clientele, the last 20 years have seen a massive growth in quality shopping venues in and around the resort town.

Laguna Village

One of the most popular retail destinations is Laguna Village Shopping Retreat in Estepona. This is a very stylish shopping area, with establishments like Just Cavalli, Flamant Home Interiors, Egoiste pour Homme and Elle Morgan, to name just a few.You can choose between Thai, Spanish or  Italian cuisine if you wish to dine there. The Puro Beach Club, part of Laguna Village, with its infinity swimming pool, Arabic style chill out area and DJ sets is the perfect place to relax after some serious shopping.  Laguna Village is open from 10am to 8pm Mondays to Saturdays and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays (although not all stores are open on Sundays).  It’s free to park here.

Marina Banus

The Marina Banus Shopping Centre, located opposite the well known Spanish department store El Corte Ingles, is close to the marina area of Puerto Banus. The selection of stores includes Zara, Ana Sousa and Jack Jones. There’s also a kids play area and a Pilates studio. Opening hours are 10.30am to 10.30pm in Summer and 10am to 10pm in Winter, Monday to Saturdays.  Parking is free for the first hour and then charged at 1.5 euro per hour.

Shop Marbella

La Canada

La Canada in Marbella is the Costa del Sol‘s biggest shopping centre with more than 200 stores. La Canada is easily reached, as it’s just off the Costa Del Sol’s main coastal highway. This huge complex has a mix of high and mid range stores.. Brands represented include Topshop, Mango, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M as well as a wealth of boutiques, childrenswear and jewellery outlets.The complex’s Oxigeno Fitness Centre has a spa and gym. There’s also the Megabowl with the Cosmic Bowling Show on Friday and Saturday nights. La Canada is open 10am to 10pm Mondays to Saturdays (with Sunday opening over the Summer), offers free parking and there’s a regular bus service from the centre of Marbella.
